Day one in Philly getting out of the garden state and crossing the Ben Franklin bridge. Our entire ride on this day consisted of following a single route, good ol’ 537, the Philly connection. Used no GPS this day and loved it, the trade off was the ongoing traffic which we tend to avoid on our usual back road directions. Anyways it was a great feeling knowing we were crossing the river into the next state!
This is the obligatory rocky statue that sits just a few feet from the Philly Art Museum. This is where we met our host from our first night in Philadelphia.
Spring is in the air and everything is coming into bloom. These cherry trees have been all over the city!

This is Louise, a kind spirit who took us in for toast, tea, and coversation at our first community visit this past weekend at Bryn Gweled. More on that soon!
If you plan to welcome us into your home or personal space at any point, expect a lot of this cheesy grin… followed by serious discussion of course.
